LOCATION & PARKING
The Law Library is on the lower level of the city courthouse in Old Town Alexandria.  The building entrance is on King
Street, between Pitt and St. Asaph Streets.  There are two parking garages in the first block of South Pitt Street, as well as
metered street parking around the building.


HOURS OF OPERATION
The Library is open to the public Monday through Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm.  We are closed weekends and all court holidays.
No reference assistance is available between 1:00 and 2:00 each day. In addition to the regular hours, Alexandria Bar members
have access to the law library during our extended hours, Tuesday through Thursday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.  Only
current members of the Alexandria Bar Association may use the library during these hours.  See Regional Law Libraries
for other facilities that have after-hours access.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The nine-member Board of Directors consists of three members appointed by the Chief Judge of the Circuit Court, three
members appointed by the Alexandria Bar Association and three members appointed by Alexandria City Council.  Each
member serves a renewable three-year term.
