CIRCULATION
The Alexandria Law Library is a research library and, therefore, our collection is non-circulating.  However, two photocopiers 
are available for patrons' use.


GIFT ACCEPTANCE
All gifts become the property of the Law Library and, as such, may be retained, sold or otherwise disposed of without notice to
the donor.  While the Law Library can issue a letter acknowledging a donation, we cannot give books a specific dollar value for 
tax purposes.  The Law Library will not accept out-of-date materials unless they have historical significance or can be sold in our 
annual Silent Auction.


VIDEO CIRCULATION
The Law Library circulates several copies of a video entitled "Your Day in Court: Representing Yourself in General District
Court."  The tape runs approximately 45 minutes.  You may choose to take the tape home with you or you may watch it in the
library. There is no rental fee, but a refundable deposit of $20.00 is required before any video may be removed from the library.
Videos have a circulation period of one week.  A late fee of $1.00 will be charged for each day the video is kept past the due
date.  Videos may be renewed once, for an additional week, by phone, in person, or by email, only if there is no waiting list.  No
deposit is required when watching the tape in the library.


TV-VCR RENTAL
Attorneys and pro se (self-represented) litigants who require the use of a television or VCR while litigating a case in the
Alexandria City Courthouse may rent the library's video equipment for $50.00 per day.  A rental agreement must be completed 
and payment received before the equipment will be delivered to the courtroom.  Please call the library for further instructions or
